DJ/producer duo 'Bingo Players' hit the top spot at the Beatport Top 100 for the second time this year. This time with a remake of the dance floor classic 'Devotion'. Beatport is world's biggest and most prominent download portal of electronic music; it is the online community where dj's and lovers of quality electronic music can buy the tracks they want legally.
'Devotion' receives full support from David Guetta, Sebastian Ingrosso, Erick E and many others. Mid October the track was released on the Sneakerz MUZIK label, including remixes by Carl Tricks, Patric La Funk and Blacktron. Bingo Players' Paul was quoted as saying: "Maarten and I did a bootleg of 'Devotion' just for fun because we thought it would do well in the clubs. It got received so well that we decided to release it officially. It is truly fantastic it has now reached top spot at the Beatport Overall Chart!" Back in 1991 the original '(I Wanna Give You) Devotion' by the English duo Nomad hit number one spot in the U.S. Dance Chart and number two in the UK.
This is not the first time round a Bingo Players production does well in the Beatport charts. In a little over one year they hit 2nd best two times (with the tracks 'Chop' and last summer with Disco Electrique, a co-production with Chocolate Puma) and number one two times, with 'Touch Me' (again together with Chocolate Puma) and this time with 'Devotion'. The success in the charts is not limited to just Beatport, 'Devotion' hit number 14 in the ADE Buzz Chart consisting of 20 'hot picks' from the recent Amsterdam Dance Event. Bingo Players will release another version of 'Devotion' soon; this time with additional vocals by the legendary MC Tony Scott, who scored hit after hit in the nineties and is still producing and performing these days.
