Eric Fender has always been interested in music. His love for dance music started in 1991. He started buying his first records after listening a classic dutch dance radio show called “ For those who like to groove ” .He started dj-ing at various small clubs and parties. He had various residencies at clubs in and around Amsterdam. His style could then be described as a mixture of Chicago/Detroit/New York house.
Eric Fender went looking for new challenges in his career. Since 1998 he is spinning in more countries around the world to get a bigger audience. Right now Eric Fender is one of Holland's most down to earth DJ's, who prefers to play at clubs and places where the real spirit of dance is still in the air. He is playing a broad range of housemusic from rhythmic funky and tribal house to minimal jackin’ grooves and even techno.
Eric gets his inspiration from many dj's/producers/artists like; Curtis Mayfield, Stevie Wonder, Pharrell Williams, Michael Jackson, Danny Tenaglia, Francois K, Laidback Luke, Josh Wink, Tom Middleton, Ashley Beedle, Laurent Garnier, Dimitri, Jazzy Jeff and many many more……….
He has been producing records since 1997 under various aliases ( Derric, Mindfunk & Tronicmen ) . Together with for instance Laidback Luke ( Mixmash, Size, Refune ) and DJ Jamez ( Touche Records ).
Most succesfull was his remix of club anthem ‘Free at last’ by Simon which was hammered by Danny Tenaglia, Tommy Boy, Muzzaik, Roger Sanchez and many others. The remix he did for club classic ‘ Lovely Flight ’ by Parisian Didier Sinclair was an instant hit on Radio FG.
At this moment he is working on new tracks and remixes with some ( known and unknown ) producers. More news will reach you very soon. |
